A Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is a professional who has the skills to successfully implement a Microsoft product or technology as part of a business solution in an organization. A MCP is required to pass one Microsoft certification exam that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise. Hands-on experience with a product is necessary to successfully achieve certification. Currently, Dale Rainwater holds four MCP certifications from Visual Studio 6.0, which are part of the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certification track for Visual Basic 6.0.
