A Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) is a professional who has a diversity of advanced skills to successfully implement Microsoft products and technologies integrated into business solutions for various organizations.

A MCSD in the Visual Basic 6.0 track is required to pass multiple Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification exams in Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 technologies.  This MCSD certification consist of three core exams and one elective exam that provides a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise.  Dale Rainwater's elective exam covers Visual Basic for Application (VBA) related to Microsoft Office 2000.  Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies and products is generally necessary to successfully achieve certification.

Currently, Dale Rainwater holds a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certification in Visual Basic 6.0.  However, Dale Rainwater plans to complete requirements for the MCSD.net certification by 2009.
