Microsoft Access is a relational database management program included with Microsoft Office.  A relational database is a collection of data organized in a manner that allows access, retrieval, and use of that data.  This data relates to a particular subject or purpose.  Microsoft Access allows you to create databases;  add, change, and delete data in the database; sort data in the database; retrieve data from the database; and create forms and reports using the data in the database.

Microsoft Access uses tables, forms, queries, reports, and other objects to add functionality to a database.  Designing a database is the most critical step in creating a database.  The ultimate goal in creating a database is that it will be effective, accurate, and efficient in accomplishing its objective.

Microsoft Access is frequently automated or programmed using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).  Microsoft VBA is a subset of Microsoft Visual Basic.  In addition, Structured Query Language (SQL) is frequently used to program Microsoft Access databases.

Currently, target markets of Dale Rainwater Consulting are the geographical regions of New York City, NY and Northwest Arkansas.
